Consultation Fees
Rapid access to a Dermatologist from $238.85*Seeing a dermatologist in person often means waiting 3–6 months. On top of that, there are added costs – travel, time off work or school, and for those in regional areas, the shortage of specialists makes access even harder. Meanwhile, hidden costs build up: the time, money, and energy spent trying to manage skin concerns while waiting for an appointment.
By improving access, we reduce both the visible and invisible costs of care.
With Digital Dermatology, you can book a consultation with one of our Australian-trained, registered dermatologists at a time that suits you. We’ll do our best to see you within two weeks.

A valid GP referral (not backdated) is needed for Medicare rebates and lasts 12 months. You can upload it when booking. Even without a referral, we encourage sharing your GP’s details for continuity of care.
All doctors are independent contractors and may set their own fees, particularly for subspecialty care. Any variation will be clearly shown at booking. Private health insurance does not cover our services.
What’s included?
Your consultation fee covers more than your online session. Your dermatologist will:

Review your history
Review your medical history and any photos sent before your appointment.

PBS authority medications
Apply for PBS authority medications (like biologic therapies).

Letter to your GP
Send a detailed letter to your GP or referring doctor.

Follow up
Follow up on test results and adjust your care plan accordingly.
Plus, all our clients receive access to our nurse concierge service – for questions about your treatment plan or side-effects from medications – at no extra cost.
If you choose to have your medicines supplied through our partner, ACE Pharmacy, delivery will be completely free.
Medicare Rebates with a GP Referral
Providing a valid GP referral means you can claim a Medicare rebate, reducing your out-of-pocket costs for both initial and review consultations. The rebate will automatically be paid into your bank account.
Why Choose a Dermatologist?
Seeing a specialist can be a turning point, especially when skin issues are persistent, worsening, or affecting your quality of life.
Dermatologists bring a level of expertise and access to prescription medicines that simply aren’t available elsewhere. With the right care, you can avoid years of trying less effective treatments and the emotional toll that often comes with it.
